WVU's basketball scores big

We all know Bob Huggins knows how to recruit for his basketball team but who knew he could do it this fast? Early Sunday evening, Devin Ebanks was officially announced as WVU's newest recruit.

Ebanks is a 6-foot-9, 205-pound forward and was rated as one of the top ten picks by many recruiting sites. Ebanks choose WVU's basketball team over Memphis who went to the NCAA finals where they lost to Kansas.

Ebanks is rated as the No. 11 player in the nation and the No. 2 small forward by rivals.com. He is listed as the No. 13 overall recruit and the No. 4 small forward by scout.com.

The addition of Ebanks helps solidify West Virginia's roster even if Alexander decides to leave. With both, the Mountaineers figure to be a Top 10 team in the preseason and among the challengers for the Big East title. Now even without Alexander those expectations would not slip dramatically.

"[Bob Huggins] said he expects me to be the Big East rookie of the year,'' Ebanks said. "That's a lot on my shoulders, but I like the expectations.''

Ebanks will be a nice addition to West Virginia's basketball team.
