Another year, another spring break, and where are you?
Think you'll be stuck in the house again? No way. Even though spring break has officially started, it's not too late to plan a road trip. Here are some ideas if you don't have anything major planned.
Most students would love to take a trip to the beach. Virginia Beach is a balmy, entertaining area that is a perfect vacation place for students. It is loaded with entertainment opportunities, and it offers the chance to meet plenty of teen-agers from the eastern United States.
But the most popular spring break beach getaway is Myrtle Beach, S.C. Although it is eight hours away, flocks of teens take off to the sunny seas of Myrtle Beach during their week of freedom to meet other teens, hang out and enjoy the surf, sun, and sand. Cool attractions in Myrtle Beach include Ripley's Believe It Or Not Museum, The Pavilion and the Gay Dolphin, a fabulous souvenir shop.
Beaches aren't the only places that teens are heading this spring break. The big cities of Ohio offer fabulous places to go if shopping is on your mind. Besides shopping, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Columbus offer zoos, museums and much more. These cities aren't nearly as far away as the surf and sand.
Girls, if you don't think that Ohio's shopping plazas will satisfy your shopping desires, head to the Big Apple. This fashion paradise comes packed with hip coffee houses, the Statue of Liberty, Times Square, Chinatown, Central Park, Fifth Avenue and Broadway.
With all of this waiting out there, why stay at home? Grab a bunch of friends and go make a memorable and fabulous spring break 2001!
